Here the Polytechnic is different from the intermediate. The two courses different from each othe let us see what are factors consisting in the both streams of the education system.
Polytechnic:
Polytechnic education is known as Diploma. In this Polytechnic course we have branches just like groups in Intermediate but this branches are different from this groups in inter. In this polycet the student have to take the polycet examination after 10th. After qualifying the entrance examination of polycet you will be attend to counselling then you will be placed in Polytechnical College.
In this polycet we have different branches to choose and they are
1.Mechanical Engineering
2.Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
3.Computer Engineering.
4.Civil Engineering.
5.Electronics and Communication Engineering.
6.Petroliuem Technology.
7.Mining Engineering
8.Automobile Engineering
This are the branches in the Polytechnic education system. In this type of System the exams are conducted semester wise for every sixs months except first year. The total duration of the polytechnic education is Three years
Advantages of Polycet or Polytechnic
1. More technical knowledge in the stream of engineering
2.You can go for jobs after diploma 3years
3.Easy Understanding of subjects in futher education
4.More opportunities
5.More Practice knowledge
6.We can decide the branch in Diploma and it is useful to Further Studies
7.We can directly go to the Second year of Btech.
Disadvantages of Polycet
1. We cannot Change the stream in BTech other than CSE Branch and it is common for All brances to shift to CSE
2. It is Little hard to study than intermediate.

Intermediate :
There is other possible of after 10th class is Intermediate. In this education is similar to the 10th class. Inter is just like the continuous stream of the Tenth class of education. It contains the group and they are
1.MPC
2.BI PC
3.CEC
4.HEC
In this intermediate this branches are usually seen. In the intermediate the examination are conducted once per year just like the 10th class. An intermediate student can undergo any stream of Education. Intermediate is the foundation of the education which we can go Engineering, Pharmacy and general degree which depends upon the group which is you selected in the intermediate. In Intermediate of MPC group you can take any stream of Engineering branch what you want to do in the Engineering field.
Advantage of the Intermediate
1. You can choose any of the branch in Engineering after Completion of MPC
2. By the completion of Bi PC you can go to Pharmacy
3. It is used to the gone for the general degree like BA,BCOM...
4. Just like the 10th class
5.More know in the Group subjects
Disadvantages of the Intermediate
1 .Less technical knowledge
2. Less Labs in the Intermediate
3. Less jobs availability
In the intermediate level of education havin the more subject knowledge than technical knowledge.
The students who want to go for job within the short period of education and the students who wants better practial knowledge about the Core which they selected in Diploma
The students who wants the better mathematics and other subjects and a inter student can undergo for the any stream of the education after intermediate such students can undergo pharmacy, engineering ... Etc can go for the intermediate.
My suggestion is choose diploma or Polytechnic if you want to go for the Engineering field because of the you have the better understanding of the Technical subjects and the main Core knowledge is important in the btech for easy understanding of the subject.
